| The Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation and The Arc of Lucas County developed the Glass City Beer Fest as a way to build community support and awareness of our agencies. Both organizations serve individuals with life-long impairments and their families by providing education, advocacy and support. These services are often not available from other community resources. |

| Each year The Arc helps more than 1,200 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities become meaningful members of our community in the following ways: |
| Life skills and self-advocacy training and mentoring Lead advocate and voice for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assistance with special education issues for parents of school-age children. Information and mentoring to help individuals and families with the daily challenges of a life-long disability. |

| NW OHIO HEMOPHILIA FOUNDATION assists more than 1,000 people within Northwest Ohio affected by moderate to severe bleeding disorders. Our portion of the proceeds from Glass City Beer Fest help us to provide: |
| Potentially life-saving medical identifications Summer camp scholarships for youth to attend a specialized camp where they are trained in disease management, independence skills, and social interaction with other affected youth. Family support and advocacy: including educational programs, social networking, and maintaining a financial crisis fund to assist those in need due to the high cost of treating their life-long impairment. |
